Minnesota State Fair
I went to the Minnesota State Fair today and I saw many different kinds of animals. This picture shows a wagon team of very tiny horses. They are full-grown, yet they are no bigger than ordinary dogs. I think that they are cute.

First Annual Kids Camp
Last week Ryan, Emily, and Andrew went to the cabin with Grandma and Grandpa for three days and two nights. We called it "Kids Camp" because we had so much fun. Louie went with us too.
The back of the car was completely loaded up with suitcases and supplies.
Three kids on a boat! Luckily the water here is only ankle deep! We paddled to Sand Island and Fallen Tree Island.
We made funny "people" out of sticks and pine cones.
Andrew and Emily played on the swings.
The children made a secret fort under a tree by the cabin. They decorated the ground with cattail leaves.
We also had campfires, read stories, went on a treasure hunt, and made a time capsule.
We all hope that Nico and Leo can come to Kids Camp too next year.
Our trip to Paris and Grenoble!
This train is a TGV.
I took this picture myself when I was in the train.
We could see the Eiffel Tower from the train station.
This is the Eiffel Tower.
Looking up at the Eiffel Tower.
Leo found a tiny Eiffel Tower inside the real Eiffel Tower.
These are a whale skeletons.
This is the front of a whale skeleton.
This is me and Leo and the stegosaurus of Paris.

Overnight with Gail and Emily
Emily and Gail had a sleepover at my house. Emily helped Gail learn how to dress her new Build-a-Bear named Skippy. It is a pink kitty with a purple dress.
After they finished playing with the stuffed animals, we had treats, made a fancy cake, and watched a movie.
Maybe we should have a boys' overnight some time. Who would like to come?

This is me at the cabin. I am using a fishing pole. I think a fishing net is better though. I did not catch any fish with the pole! I do like the cabin. My fav9rite thing at the cabin is to go to sand island and catch fish with a fishing net. I like the net best...I never catch fish with a fishing pole. I do like the fishing poles by the green grass.

this is a picture of my webkinz pony. It is named McKenzie. I got her for my birthday. I play on webkinz a lot. It is very fun to play games on Webkinz.com. I have another one. It is a white terrior named Sophie. She was my first one. Ryan has a polor bear webkinz. On the website, you can earn points to buy things for your web pet. I have six rooms, and an outdoor room. The outdoor room has a pool. I have a plant that I am growing all on the internet too.
I am getting ready to show the kiddos how to participate on this page..I know that they are excited to share what they are up to and show different pictures of what they are doing these days. I already have the blog bookmarked and easy to get to...hopefully tonight I will show them the page and get them started. This is going to be really neat.
Our Garden in August
Summer in Minnesota
Fixing Our Street
All summer the men have been working to fix the street in front of our house. First they dug down and fixed the water pipes under the street. Yesterday they brought in big machines to lay down new pavement. How do you like this big dump truck?
It is dumping the hot asphalt (black top) into the yellow spreader. Can you find our black cat Sofi? She is sitting in our front yard watching the trucks.
Here is another view of the dump truck, the spreader, and the men working.
See the new black road? When they finished one side, the dump truck came back and they finished the other side of the road too. Now it is all paved and smooth for our cars to drive on.
Grandpa took these pictures. We hope you like them.
Love, Grandma
